WHAT I'M WEARING: RUST COAT & SUEDE BOOTS

Happy Sunday! I thought I would share with you a few of the pieces I cannot stop wearing lately. Rust is one of my favourite colours for Autumn Winter and I couldn't believe my eyes when I found this Jigsaw coat in a London charity shop! It's in mint condition and I can never really understand how or why anyone would throw out such a thing of beauty, but I'm very glad they did!

I've also invested in a simple black Dune bag from TKMaxx. I needed a work bag that would go with everything but I'm quickly finding out that this bag is a little small for me for everyday wear as I always carry everything but the kitchen sink. The bag is leather, has lots of compartments and I love the neat shape so I think I'll have to have a handbag clear out - ladies, why do we carry so many things we don't need hey?!

Although I absolutely love hats I sometimes feel a little silly wearing them but I'm sure I'll dare to wear this simple H&M fedora when the cold weather hits. I love the simplicity of it and I think it will work perfectly with a dress, tights and a shaggy fur coat.

Last but not least are these boots of dreams from Zara! I wanted them when they were full price but I managed to snap them up in the sale for less than £20 so they make me very happy indeed. Snake print and suede is the perfect combination!

Rust is such a beautiful Autumnal colour and I can't wait to update my wardrobe with these pieces for the season ahead.

FRIDAY FAVOURITES: FLORENCE & FRED

Today I thought I'd reveal one of my all time style secrets, I love shopping at Tesco's Florence & Fred! When I worked in Manchester I used to go on my lunch break but now I'm working in London it's a little more difficult as there's no large stores nearby so yesterday I shopped online and my overall shopping experience was amazing as there's so much choice online!

Whilst browsing through the site, I came across these Autumn Winter beauties from the new AW15 collection. From simple layering pieces to that all-important statement fur coat, you'll find a versatile collection and it's all priced very reasonably! Yesterday I got a Breton striped tee, the suedette skirt below and two polo neck jumpers for less than £40 so here are my bargainous Friday favourites from the wonderful Florence & Fred.

Monochrome Faux Fur Patchwork Jacket - £39 - Shop Now
If you're wanting to invest in a new statement faux fur coat, you've come to the right place! I'd style this coat with a simple black or camel polo neck jumper (like the one below) with some dark denim skinny jeans, ankle boots and a berry lip to finish! When the cold weather really hits, this style staple will also work over a little black dress for evening.

Ribbed Roll Neck Top - £8 - Shop Now
With a roll neck jumper you really can't go wrong! These styles are my ultimate Autumn Winter layering piece and each year I make sure I've got a selection of colours which I can team with everything such as camel, black, rust and nude. This ribbed black style is light enough for everyday wear but will be sure to keep off the chill! I'm planning on styling mine with the suede effect skirt (below), tights, ankle boots and a leather jacket.

Suedette A-Line Mini Skirt - £12 - Shop Now
Button up suede skirts are the hottest trend of the moment and this suedette camel style is such a steal at £12! With a flattering high-waisted A-line fit and a soft suede effect finish, this skirt is perfect for channeling the Seventies trend. I snapped this style up online yesterday and when it arrives I'll be teaming it with knee high boots, a roll neck jumper and a blanket cape to finish! For evening, tuck a cami top into this skirt and away you go...

Pointed Toe Block Heel Chelsea Boots - £25 - Shop Now
I'm an absolute sucker for boots during Autumn and despite having many pairs, there's always room for one more! I find pointed toe styles great for lengthening the legs and this burgundy pair features a super stylish block heel. With Chelsea boot style side panels, this style is so easy to wear with everything. I'd style this pair up with skinny jeans, midi skirts and everyday dresses. This style is also available in black - here.

Colour Block Blanket Wrap - £18 - Shop Now

Now that I'm commuting to work from Northampton to London the allure of wrapping up in a blanket cape is becoming all the more appealing! I love the Autumnal colours of this colour block style and I guarantee that you'll be throwing this style on at a moment's notice! This style would look amazing with flared high waisted jeans, knee high boots and a fedora hat.

Fringed Hobo Bag - £18 - Shop Now

This season's statement fringed detailing delivers cutting-edge style and this tan fringed bag is a complete saviour. Featuring a shorter strap and an adjustable longer strap, this style is large enough for all your essentials but not too bulky. I definitely think this style will take you from AM to PM too!

A VISIT TO TATTU, MANCHESTER

Last weekend I ventured out of Northampton for a girlie lunching and shopping trip in Manchester with my friend Claire.

After seeing many cool snaps of the new Tattu Restaurant in Spinningfields on Instagram, we just had to see what all the fuss was about! It sounds silly, but I was as equally excited about seeing the amazing decor inside the restaurant as I was about tasting the food, but as it happened both the venue and the tasty dim sum did not disappoint. The artificial blossom tree in the centre of the restaurant is a complete show stopper and I can't wait to visit again in the evening when it's all lit up and looking even more pretty.

It had been a crazy week at work for the both of us so we started the meal off the right way with a chilled bottle of Rose followed by six dim sum dishes (3 each) from a specials menu.

We tasted the following dishes;

Crispy Duck Rolls with a Yuzu Plum Sauce

Lobster and Prawn Toast with Sweet Chilli Sauce

Venison Wan Ton with Raspberry Maple and Soy

Duck and Watermelon Salad with cashew nuts, spring onion, coriander and Mint

Baby back Satay Ribs with Peanuts and Coconut

Duck Egg and Sausage Fried Rice (This was just a side order but it tasted insanely good, we could definitely have managed a double portion!)

The portion size for each was just right and we left feeling as though we wanted to book in again very soon! The staff were really welcoming and friendly throughout our dining experience and the decor and tattoo theme running throughout the restaurant definitely makes this restaurant a must-see!

I hope you've enjoyed my review and thank you for reading!

BEAUTY REVIEWS: THE BODY SHOP

Since recently becoming a consultant for The Body Shop I've been lucky enough to sample their best selling products and find out more about their new product ranges before they launch. One of the main reasons I signed up to this scheme as a consultant is so I could share new product launches with my blog readers and give you a sense of what these fantastic products have to offer.

If you're a lover of Body Shop products I'm sure you'll have tried at least one of their Body Butters before as there are so many to choose from in the collection.

For the moment, I've only tried three key body butters so here's what I thought about them:

Wild Argan Oil Body Butter, £13 for 200ml

Out of the thee body butters I've sampled this is my ultimate favourite. I don't tend to use a body moisturiser very often which is very bad I know so I find this buttery formula with Community Fair Trade Argan Oil from Morocco to be very nourishing and particularly good if you have very dry skin, like I do! The scent of this body butter is pretty subtle and the texture is very smooth which is one of my main preferences as perfumed body butters can irritate my sensitive skin.

Coconut Body Butter, £13 for 200ml

The coconut body butter is more rich and creamy on the skin and has a tropical coconut scent which is slightly stronger than the Argan Oil Body Butter. Ideal for normal to dry skin, this formula contains virgin organic coconut oil and leaves the skin fully hydrated for 24hours, you really can't get better than this for intense moisture! This works really well if you also use the Coconut Shower Gel.

Shea Body Butter, £13 for 200ml

Out of the three this Shea Body Butter came runner up as it has the most amazing subtle nutty fragrance! With Community Fair Trade Shea Butter, this formula is ultra soft and smooth and works best on very dry skin, making it perfect if you don't use a body moisturiser as frequently as you should.

Each pot is £13 and considering you get 200ml there's plenty of product for 5-6 months usage so they are great value for money too!
