What I'm Wearing:

Polo Neck - Primark
Necklace - New Look
Bag - Zara
Jeans - H&M
Shoes - New Look

Finally, the sun is out! As a blogger it's so much easier to take photos outside in this weather, I'm sure you'll all agree? Here's a casual look I threw together recently and my favourite piece has to be my dotty girlfriend jeans from H&M. I feel like they are too cute/ridiculous but I have to say I love them!

To toughen up my ultra girlie new denim I added some black lace up flats by New Look, a polo neck (of course, I'm obsessed!), a statement necklace and army style military shirt from Primark which doubles up nicely as a Spring cover up.

But my favourite piece from this outfit has to be my new fringed back from Zara. It's definitely too small to carry anything important but it's great for weekends and nightout and just about squeezes in all of the essentials. Plus it's fringed and has a chain strap, so what's not to love?

Make sure you enter my beauty Giveaway to win a Topshop lipstick of your choice - don't miss out!

What do you think of today's look?

Finding the perfect base makeup or foundation can take years of trial and error so when you stumble across a favourite that you re-purchase, it's definitely worth blogging about!

For me personally, my go-to brand for foundation has always been Chanel. I've tried using cheaper drugstore foundations and products from other high-end brands but I always come back to Chanel time and time again.

I've got to be honest, the Chanel way isn't the cheapest option, but I suppose for something that you apply to your face everyday it's got to be worth it.

I've been trying out a new moisturiser by MAC too so here's my low down on these products:

(To put things into perspective in case you're interested in purchasing these products my skin is oily around the t-zone but can still be dry in patches, I'd say I have combination skin.)

Perfection Lumiere Velvet in Beige 20 (Top shade shown in the above swatch)

Out of the two Chanel foundations, Perfection Lumiere Velvet is the one I started using first. In terms of coverage it's heavier than the Vitalumiere Aqua and gives a more matte finish to the skin which I think is better for the Winter months and also nights out as it's long-lasting and doesn't slide off the skin throughout the day. As I'm pretty pale, this shade is a little dark for me but I often mix it with the Vitalumiere Aqua shade for day or apply it on it's own for night. A huge benefit of using this foundation is that it does even the skin out, particularly if you have big pores so I really liked that about it. I even used the Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser Primer beforehand so that would help to smooth out and minimise my pores even more.

MAC Studio Moisture Fix SPF 15

This is the first time I've used any MAC skincare and I'm sad to say I think I made the wrong choice! When choosing a new moisturiser I was ensured that this product would work 'for all skin types' (*my mistake*) but at the moment I'm finding that this product isn't suitable for my combination skin and isn't working hard enough in terms of reducing dryness. Maybe my skin is just going through a rough patch (pardon the pun) as I know this is a favourite for other people but I simply can't see why at the minute. Another thing that makes me dislike this product is that it takes quite a few pumps of moisturiser to make any difference so a little doesn't really go a long way - sorry MAC!

Vitalumiere Aqua in Beige 10 (Bottom shade shown in the above swatch)

This foundation is my latest beauty purchase and I love it. This foundation contains lots of water so it's super light and hydrating, making it perfect for fresh and dewy summer skin. The coverage is very light so if you're not bothered about wearing a heavy base, this foundation is perfect for you! This time I went for the lightest shade (Beige 10) and it matches my skin tone perfectly. As it is a pale shade, I build up some colour using bronzer and blush for a healthy summer glow. Sadly, it's £33 a bottle but you only need a small pea-sized amount to cover the whole face. I usually touch up under my eyes with concealer and apart from that my complexion is good to go!

I'd be interested to hear what you think about these products?

I'm trying to be good at the moment and not spend too much so I thought I'd share some reasonably priced bits and bobs I've purchased to update my look, without breaking the bank.

Snakeprint iphone 5/5c Case - H&M

I'm snakeprint addicted at the moment and at £5.99 this phone case is a must-have for nailing both the Seventies and summer boho trend in one go!

Missoni Sunglasses - TKMaxx

I still can't believe I found a pair of Missoni sunglasses in TKMaxx for £15.99 including a fancy leather case. I'd recommend a rummage in a TKMaxx near you as they had some amazing designer sunnies in stock.

Military Circle Necklace - Topshop

I'm pretty convinced this double chain hoop necklace will go with absolutely everything so it had to be snapped up immediately.

Black Facet Stone Ear Cuff - Topshop

The last ear cuff I bought would not stay on at all and kept swinging off but this one has a nifty clip so I'm crossing my fingers that it will stay in place when I'm out dancing on Saturday.

Last but not least, is this fabulous Topshop metallic lipstick in Armour. This doesn't seem to be available online but should be available in store.

What I'm Wearing:

Top - Topshop
Kimono - New Look (Sale buy)
Flares - Marks & Spencer
Shoes - Zara
Belt - Topshop
Watch - DYNY
Sunglasses - Missoni from TKMaxx

I hope you're all having a lovely Easter so far, whether you're going away, out and about or simply scoffing lots and lots of chocolate..

I was lucky enough to go to Florence for a few days this week so the final post of my 'How to Style Flares' series is being posted later than I planned but I really hope it was worth the wait.  I'll be doing a Florence photo diary in the next week or so as it really is a must-see place if you haven't been there before.

Back to the outfit...

This time I've styled my flares with this gorgeous Topshop crop top which really requires abs of steel (which I don't have) but I loved the print so much I could not resist. As a cover up, I added this beautiful beaded kimono that I snapped up in the New Look sale and some Zara barely there heels in nude. So many high-street stores are stocking these styles now and they are a super investment as they go with anything.

Also, I'm absolutely head over heels for my new Missoni sunglasses which were an absolute bargain in TKMaxx, only £15.99! They had so many designer styles in there by the likes of Marc Jacobs, Fendi and Michael Kors so I'd definitely pay TKMaxx a visit.

Quite a simple Seventies look that I think would also work with flat lace up sandals for a warm summers evening or on holiday.

I hope you've enjoyed today's post and Happy Easter for tomorrow! I'm planning a giveaway for next week so keep your eyes peeled, the winner of my Lush giveaway will be emailed today.

Thanks for reading and let me know what you're up to this weekend,
