LONDON FASHION WEEK LOOK: DAY 4

What I'm Wearing:

Jumpsuit - Primark (Also available in Black)
Polo Neck Jumper - Primark
Coat - H&M
Shoes - TK Maxx
Necklace - Marks & Spencer
Watch - DKNY
Rings - H&M

This week I've been lucky enough to be working in London for a few days which is absolutely perfect timing as I've been dying to see what's been going on over at London Fashion Week. Each season I head down to Somerset House to catch a glimpse of the amazing outfits, get some streetstyle photography and meet other bloggers, whilst also being on the lookout for any new and emerging fashion brands.

Somerset House is such a beautiful backdrop for fashion photography so I felt really privileged to be there today. As the Online Content Editor for Stylistpick.com, a large part of my role involves styling and sourcing new inspiration so Somerset House during Fashion Week is an absolutely ideal setting for this and my lovely colleague Sam and I managed to get some amazing shots today so keep an eye out for them all on Stylistpick very soon!

In between dashing around we managed to take a few quick pictures of my outfit which involved layer upon layer as it was pretty darn cold in London today, our fingers almost dropped off whilst shooting!

This military style khaki boiler suit/jumpsuit was an absolute bargain from Primark for just £15, so I snapped it up immediately. I added a black polo neck fine knit underneath for extra warmth and a statement necklace from Marks & Spencer. For pure comfort, I wore my new pointed loafers from TK Maxx which I have since discovered are men's shoes (oops) but I still love them all the same. Last but not least, I finished the look with my H&M camel coat which has become a complete wardrobe staple, in fact I wish I'd have bought another.

I've just started using my new Canon E0S 700D camera so hopefully you can already see that my images have improved. I'm still learning though so I'm only using the most basic settings!

Please share your LFW outfit posts, I'd love to see them!

A VISIT TO THE GARDEN KITCHEN, CLITHEROE

Yesterday I paid my second visit to The Garden Kitchen in Clitheroe for afternoon tea with two of my closest pals Claire and Louise. Even though I'm not usually a foodie blogger, I think this place is definitely worthy of a mention and full blog review!

The Garden Kitchen is a tea room and farm shop within the grounds of Holden Clough Garden Nursery in Clitheroe, Lancashire. The tea room itself serves up breakfast and lunch but this little establishment is best known for its 'Afternoon Picnic's', an assortment of tasty sweet and savoury treats presented on a pastel painted garden bench.

Just to give you an idea of what's on offer, yesterday we were treated to:

Savoury:

Posh cheese on toast, Spiced Lamb Kebab with Aioli and pitta bread, Mini pizza Pin Wheels and Savoury Chive Scones with Salmon Mousse

Sweet:

Mini Angel Battenburg cupcake, Homemade chocolate eclair, Raspberry macaroon, Mixed Fruit Flapjack and a Mini Wellington Fruit Smoothie

...Not to mention a pot of tea and a glass of prosecco each!

I can quite honestly say that no crumbs were even left to go to waste and we left feeling nicely full without feeling totally stuffed. On this occasion, the mini pizza pin wheels and the raspberry macaroon's were our firm favourites!

If you're a big fan of afternoon tea and fancy catching up with friends or treating someone for a special occasion such as a birthday or Mother's Day, this venue is perfect. If you prefer more hearty meals, then the lunch menu looks ideal (I haven't tried it yet but I hope to soon!) but if you'd prefer some lighter nibbles, I would recommend the afternoon picnic as it's perfectly filling.

The surrounding countryside is really pretty so it would be nice for a stroll to walk off all the food and the tea room farm shop is definitely worth a visit if you want to try out some unique and locally sourced produce.

If you fancy visiting The Garden Kitchen I would recommend booking in advance so you don't miss out as it can get busy, but all in all it's a fabulous experience and certainly something fun to do on an afternoon.

You can find all the information here including the location, prices and most importantly the food menus!

I hope you've enjoyed this post as it's been a different one for me to write. If you have any questions, just pop them in the comments section below.

WHAT I'M WEARING: ZARA PINK SUIT

What I'm Wearing:

Suit - Zara
Polo Neck - Primark
Shoes -  Breanna Shoes from Dune
Clutch - Dorothy Perkins

I'm off work this week so I decided to cut all my long locks off into a long bob and shoot a more fun outfit! I got this matching two piece in the Zara sale and I absolutely love it! I'm most likely to wear both pieces for work as separates but I think a sharp tailored suit is a nice change from a dress once in a while. I've teamed this with a plain black polo neck from Primark, an embellished clutch from Dorothy Perkins and my gorgeous Breanna courts from Dune. I don't know why but I always feel like Carrie from SATC when I wear them as they are power courts with a gorgeous embellished finish, best killer heels I've purchased in a while! My boyfriend Rory isn't a huge fan of this suit (must be a 'man repeller' outfit) so hopefully you like it more than he does!

This week has been a productive week so far in terms of styling/blogging. Yesterday I did some styling for fashion brand Mary & Milly (check them out here on Asos Marketplace) and in the coming weeks I've got lots of collaborations planned with new fashion brands. I also purchased a new Canon E0S 700D camera (finally!) so hopefully the quality of my blog pictures will get better and better.

Let me know what you think of today's look?

PRIMARK SS15 ACTIVEWEAR COLLECTION

If there's one thing that get's me off my bum and onto the treadmill it's new gym gear. If you commute to and from work you'll understand how hard it is to come home (especially on a cold night), throw on some lycra and head to the gym, when I'd much rather be eating pizza and reading Vogue magazine from the comfort of my own bed. But quite often I think I feel tired mentally but not physically so the main battle is persuading myself to get out and do it!

Whether it's new trainers, a new running watch or new fitness clothing, I think that making yourself feel good is the key to enjoying exercise. Primark's new SS15 activewear collection has certainly encouraged me to feel just that and I have already invested in three key pieces. A pair of 3/4 length black running leggings (around £8), a neon trim sports bra (£4) and a cool racer back top (£6). Each item is soft and comfortable and I even made sure I tested it all out with one very painful hour of Insanity at the gym so I can tell you that these pieces are easy to work out in. The sports bra is even slightly padded so it still gives support whilst the neon trim looks super stylish!

Sports clothing can be expensive if you exercise regularly but I prefer to buy cheaper items on the high-street along with other brands such as Adidas and Nike so I can really mix it up! Believe it or not, Aldi does some great running pieces at a very reasonable price but if you're looking for something more trend-focused then definitely check out the new Activewear ranges from Missguided and Boohoo.

I hope you've enjoyed my fitness related post and feel inspired to get outside and exercise this week. I'm going spinning tomorrow so I think that will do for the weekend!

Thanks for reading and don't forget there's still time to enter my Soap & Glory Giveaway!
