If there's one thing that wakes me up in the morning it's my new skincare from Soap & Glory. I'm usually pretty lazy with my skincare routine but these two hero products have helped me to get out of my skincare-rut that was doing absolutely nothing for my skin. Using both products each day has really helped to unblock my pores, leaving my skin feeling really clean and fresh. I usually wear concealer and foundation everyday so it's nice to thoroughly cleanse my skin with these products after a full day of wearing make-up.

I massage a small amount of the Vitamin C facial wash into my skin to gently exfoliate and then I add a pea-sized amount of The Fab Pore Moisturiser and I'm all set to apply my make up. Moisturisers I've used in the past tend to leave my skin feeling oily around the t-zone area but I've found that this moisturiser matifies my skin so it's not too shiny.

If you would like to give these Soap & Glory products a try, here's how you can enter my GIVEAWAY:

- Follow Sarah's Style Statement by entering your email address in the Follow By Email box in the right side bar.

- Comment and let me know why you love Soap & Glory. If you have any other product recommendations then that's even better!

Good Luck!

The giveaway ends on 13th February, just in time to make this the perfect Valentines treat!

Next SS15 Wishlist
I've been keeping an eye out for some new season SS15 essentials and I couldn't help but notice that Next have launched some absolute beauty's for Spring! From bold stripes to the perfect monochrome separates, here's what's on my Next wishlist for this season (clockwise from left):

Woven Tee - buy here

I love the simple shape of this tee with pocket detailing, plus the bold stripes will add a pop of colour for the season ahead. I think this top would go perfectly with white skinny jeans and sandals.

Scratch Print Wide Leg Trousers (Available in Regular and Long) - buy here

It's nice to have a change from more skinny/tailored style trousers so I'm in love with these wide leg monochrome trousers that will be sure to add an edge to any work wardrobe. They also have a D-ring belt fastening for extra style points!

Leather Fringe Detail Sandals (Available in Black too) - buy here

Fringe detailing, check. Matte grey colour, check. Chunky heel, check. I love this style and I think they would be versatile enough to team with jeans, skirts and dresses when the weather improves. Although I think the new season socks and sandals trend could definitely work with this style!

Black and White Stripe Dress - buy here

The nautical/stripes trend is forever making a comeback in the fashion world so you can be sure that this dress will be the ultimate wardrobe investment. This dress is perfect for work and weekends but could also be dressed up with sunglasses and heels for weddings or the races come Spring. The thicker stripes and panels down the sides also make this style very flattering.

Black and Gold Bar Cuff - buy here

Update those plain tee's and blouses with a minimalistic black and gold cuff. This style is a 'minimal fuss' piece and I'd imagine that it would look hot to trot with a little black dress and red manicured nails!

Mini Envelope Across The Body Bag - buy here

Jazz up any block colours with this monochrome envelope style bag with chain strap. This style is small enough to take out shopping yet big enough to hold all the essentials.

Cat Eye Sunglasses - buy here

Cat eye sunglasses are here to stay and the good news is, this style will suit most face shapes. This super glam pair features a tortoise shell effect and gold detailing on the stems.

I hope you've enjoyed my Wednesday wishlist, I'm sure you'll no doubt be seeing one or two pieces from the above on my blog soon!

What I'm Wearing:

Faux Fur Coat - Vintage
Paisley Shirt - Zara
Statement Necklace - Topshop
Skinny Jeans - New Look
Bag - Primark
Boots -Whistles

I'm sure the fashion bloggers amongst you will totally understand when I say it's FAR TOO COLD for outfit posts at the moment. I've tried to battle through all weather extremes including rain, wind and even a smattering of snow but my pictures just aren't the same, who's with me?

Last weekend I managed to take advantage of a short burst of sunshine and take some outfit snaps with my iphone (excuse the quality) before I went for some tasty tapas in Lancaster.

As I used to collect and sell vintage I managed to keep a few special pieces back for myself and this faux fur coat is one of them and it's the loveliest, warmest coat I own! I'm definitely thinking about starting my little vintage business again as buying was so much fun but I'll just have to restrain myself from wanting to keep everything!

I teamed this coat with a Zara Paisley shirt which was a recent sale purchase for £17, along with my faux fur detailed bag from Primark and my Whistles oxblood chelsea boots. The statement flower necklace from Topshop is a new addition to my ever-growing collection and I honestly think that pieces like this can completely transform any weekend look from super casual to totally glam!

Do you enjoy wearing vintage pieces such as faux fur? Please share your vintage inspired posts in the comments section below, I'd love to see how you style yours!

What I'm Wearing:

Dress and Faux Fur Gillet - Mary & Milly @ Asos Marketplace
Necklace - Marks & Spencer
Boots - Aldo

Due to the horrendous weather in the North West, I've been unable to go outside to take outfit snaps so please excuse the slightly dull backdrop!

One of my New Year's promises to myself (I don't like resolutions) is to blog more often so here's a little something I wore to go and watch The Russian State Ballet perform Swan Lake. Going to the theatre or watching a ballet is something I love to do so when I get the chance I like to dress up! Even though it was just Sunday afternoon..

My dress is a new buy from Mary & Milly (you can find the boutique in Preston or on Asos Marketplace here) and I love the simplicity of it. I thought the colour might wash me out as I'm pale but a slick of bronzer and some lipstick made this the perfect little shift dress. The fabric is really comfy and up close it has a textured snakeprint effect and sheer panel detailing. I imagine this dress would look gorgeous with a tan too so I'm planning on wearing it with metallic sandals for SS15. You can find the dress here.

As it's so cold I paired the dress with my faux fur gillet (also Mary & Milly), a statement necklace from Marks & Spencer and my new everyday Aldo boots.

What do you think of today's look?

The product:

MAC Lustre Lipstick in Viva Glam V. I was given this lipstick for Christmas and I think it's always nice when people buy you makeup as a gift as it always forces me to try something new!

What's the shade/texture like?

This shade is a beautiful, smooth neutral pink with a touch of shimmer and I think it works well for both day and night. I don't like a high-maintenance lipstick whilst I'm at work as I rarely have time to top up throughout the day so I find that this shade is soft enough to look subtle but warm enough to make a difference! Especially when I'm feeling sleepy...

How much does it cost?

This lipstick is £15.50 and you can buy this shade here.

Is it worth the money?

100%! I actually really like the slight shimmer and the fact that this product is non-sticky and easy to apply. I also think it's a keeper for all fashion seasons so you'll definitely get your money's worth!

Marks out of 10:

9/10 - Which means it's a must-have!

What I'm Wearing:

Parka Jacket - Topshop
White Shirt - Topshop
Chic Happens Sweater -Topshop
Coin Necklace - Accessorize
Joni Jeans - Topshop
Trainers - Adidas Gazelle's from Asos

Happy New Year!

I thought I'd start 2015 with a lazy Sunday outfit post. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that nobody wants to wear tight clothes after the Christmas festivities (munch munch munch) so this comfy boyish attire seemed like the perfect option.

Don't get me wrong, I like an opportunity to dress up but this Sunday it was all about dressing like a boy. I've loved my Topshop Parka Jacket ever since I bought it and the hood is especially cosy for a nice weekend walk. I teamed this jacket with my slogan Chic Happens Jumper, white shirt and Joni Jeans, all from Topshop.

I'm not usually one for trainers but I was over the moon when my boyfriend surprised me with these Adidas Gazelle's for Christmas. I really like the snake print and gold detailing, whilst they are also super comfy which has got to be a bonus! To finish off the look I added a simple necklace from Accessorize and my New Look structured backpack.

I was planning on doing a 'New Year's Resolutions' post but I figured that my most important goal is to push myself with my blog and make it bigger and better this year. I've already got lots of exciting review posts and collaborations lined up so it's shaping up to be an exciting start to the year already!

And if you fancy a January treat, make sure you check out my giveaway where you can win a pair of Marks & Spencer Luxe Warm Toes tights, a must-have for this January weather!
