GIVEAWAY AND REVIEW: MARKS & SPENCER LUXE WARM TOE TIGHTS

Recently I was lucky enough to be sent a gorgeous pair of luxe warm toe tights courtesy of Marks & Spencer. With the freezing cold weather upon us, I'm sure you'll agree that having cold feet on a night out is a complete no-no which is why these tights are a party season essential.

As the tights are 10 denier they have a lovely sheer effect making them perfect for pairing with any party looks whilst they also feature a merino wool panel across the toes and base of the foot to ensure that feet are kept toasty all night long! The tights are also available in natural tan, black and navy as well as a range of sizes so they are suitable for all leg lengths.

I teamed this pair with my new Aldo shoe boots on Christmas day and they felt really comfortable and as I usually wear much thicker tights they added a different look to my Christmas outfit! I'll be blogging about my Christmas ootd soon so you'll see how the tights look on.

If you're not really a 'tights person' I would really recommend giving these tights a go as they are sheer enough to give warmth but add more of a fun look for the party season! All you need to do now is throw on your sequinned party dress, cosy toe tights, killer heels and you're good to go!

I wanted to give all my readers a chance to try out a pair of these tights so follow the below to enter my GIVEAWAY to win one pair and leave a comment with your email address as well as the size and colour you would like to win! The giveaway ends two weeks today.

Good Luck and hope you've all had a fantastic Christmas! I'm still in a food coma :)

WINTER BLING: SALE BUYS

Christmas wouldn't be quite the same without some seasonal sparkle so I thought I'd share my top finds from this week and the good news is..I got everything in the sale! I've added the links below where possible so happy shopping!

I've been on the hunt for the perfect NYE dress and lucky for me this gorgeous Miss Selfridge embellished dress was reduced from £79 to just £30! An embellished dress is a statement piece alone so I'll be teaming this with simple pointed courts and a matching clutch. Buy the dress here.

I've never had a box clutch before so this chunky jewel style from Dorothy Perkins was a little different for me, but I think it's definitely going to jazz up my LBD's over the party season. From £28 to £15,buy the clutch here.

I really like to shake up my outfits by adding different pieces of jewellery and for £3.50 I couldn't leave these Miss Selfridge earrings behind as they are perfect for adding a touch of glamour to dresses and tops. Not available online but you can shop similar styles here.

Last but certainly not least, F&F at Tesco made my lunch break a very happy one the other day as I managed to snap up these super cool metallic brogues for just £7! I'm planning on teaming them with ankle grazer skinnies, a simple tee and faux fur. Such a bargain! Buy the brogues here.

It's Christmas in 3 days, ahhh! Happy Christmas to you all and a huge THANK YOU to everyone who's been keeping up to date with my blog this year! Your support means a lot.X

FEELING LADYLIKE

What I'm Wearing:

Blouse - H&M
Necklace -New Look
Faux Fur Gilet - c/o Mary & Milly*
Midi Skirt - Mary & Milly
Furla Bag - Charity Shop
Boots - Marks & Spencer
Watch - DKNY

Last month I was lucky enough to be treated to afternoon tea at The Garden Kitchen in Clitheroe as a birthday treat from my best pal, Claire. For the occasion, I decided to put on my 'Sunday Best' including this Mary & Milly Faux Fur Gillet and vintage-style midi skirt. If you had a read of my Mary & Milly store opening post here, I'm sure you will have seen the lovely pieces that this fashion boutique has to offer, you should definitely go and check it out.

I live in skinny jeans most of the time so the print on this skirt definitely caught my eye as it's a piece I'll also layer with knitwear. Plus, I like to switch up my outfits from time to time and get out of my comfort zone! I teamed this look with a simple peter pan collar blouse, statement necklace and my burgundy Chelsea boots.

If you are looking for something fun and girlie to do over the Christmas break I would definitely recommend a trip to the Garden Kitchen. The food is presented in the most beautiful way and tastes amazing! But I would say that it does get busy so make sure you book in advance if you fancy going!

Give me cake and a pot of tea any day and I'm the happiest lady on the planet! Who doesn't love a day like that?

On a separate note, I'm sorry for being a bad blogger and not announcing the winner of my Bare Minerals Lash Domination giveaway on time. I have now emailed the winner but if you missed out keep your eyes peeled for my Christmas giveaway which will be up on the blog soon!

SNAPSHOT REVIEW: MAC MINERALIZE SKINFINISH

As everyone is short of time these days (myself included), I thought I would start doing some mini beauty reviews so there's not so many paragraphs to get through! As a follower of many blogs, I've seen some pretty lengthy reviews so I've decided to do them more regularly but keep them short and sweet, because really all you need to know is 'should I buy it?' and 'is it worth it?'.

So here it goes...

The Product:

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder in Soft & Gentle

What does it do?

This product is a powder formula for highlighting the skin and its light reflecting particles work to enhance key areas of the face such as cheekbones, forehead, brow bone and nose. I tend to contour using my usual bronzer and then layer this over the top to create a healthy natural glow.

How much does it cost?

£23 and I would say it's worth every penny as the palette lasts ages and doesn't crumble like others I've tested.

Is it worth the money?

Hell yes! This is my second one after I used my limited edition Stereo Rose palette right to the bitter end. That was a sad day! I also love that it's not glittery like other highlighters.

Marks out of 10:

10/10 - Which means I couldn't live without it!

Have you tried the Mineralize Skinfinish powder by MAC?

P.s The winner of my Urban decay Lash Domination Giveaway will be announced tomorrow evening!

MARY & MILLY BOUTIQUE OPENING, PRESTON

A few weeks ago I was invited to the Mary & Milly store opening in Preston. I've lived in Preston all my life and considering the city is pretty small in comparison to nearby shopping destinations such as Manchester and Liverpool, I still think Preston has plenty to offer on the fashion front, with a mix of high street stores and unique independent shops such as Mary & Milly.

If you're looking for something that little bit different that you won't find in the likes of Topshop or H&M, Mary & Milly certainly deserves a visit. The boutique, owned by Poppy Waters, has a lovely story behind it as it was set up in memory of her grandmothers Mary and Milly who had a great sense of style and always inspired her.

When you enter the shop you can really see that it has a personal touch in the sense that plenty of effort has gone into making it as welcoming as possible for the customer which I think is so special. Each item is chosen for its quality and vintage-esque style and to make everything even more appealing the prices are really affordable which means it's easy to update your wardrobe with key seasonal pieces.

From tweed monochrome co-ords (which is next on my wishlist!) to statement print blouses, necklaces and dresses, the store offers pieces for both day and night. Some of the pieces are also one-off exclusives so there's even less of a chance that you'll see numerous people sporting the same dress in one night. There's also a gorgeous table of treats filled with jewellery as well as a range of handbags and scarves so you can either treat yourself or pick up a perfect gift whilst you shop!

Deciding on what I wanted to buy on the night was pretty tough as there was so many must-haves on show but I did end up purchasing a gorgeous printed midi skirt a few days later which will be making an appearance on the blog very soon!

Here are my snaps from the opening night:
You can find Mary & Milly on Asos Marketplace here or you can visit the boutique at 21 Guildhall Street in Preston, Lancashire.

I hope you've enjoyed this post as it's something a little different, if you have any comments or questions about M&M feel free to leave them in the section below.

Happy Weekend!
