CHECKS & LEATHER

What I'm Wearing:

Jacket, shirt and rucksack - New Look
Necklace - Accessorize
Jeans - Topshop
Shoes - F&F at Tesco

My blogging has been a little sporadic as of late as I've been settling into a new job (which I love) and life in general  has been pretty busy, but after toying with the idea of giving up on my little online space, I decided to carry on writing about the things I love. So I hope all my lovely readers are still with me as I've made a promise to myself to dedicate more time to my blog.

So onto the outfit...

I have been absolutely loving New Look at the moment. The A/W collection is super stylish and very reasonable which tempted me to go on another spree yesterday. You've probably seen my haul if you follow me on Instagram!

I was planning on investing in a real leather jacket but for £34.99, I couldn't turn this one down. The jacket has an unusual double folded edge and despite not being real leather, the material doesn't look cheap at all and I've had so much wear out of it already.

During the same shopping trip I bought this checked shirt and structured rucksack. Some rucksacks I've tried make me feel like I'm off on a school trip so I felt that this structured style was much more sophisticated and grown up for both work and play. I sound like a bore, but I think you get to a certain age where some trends just don't look right!

Teamed with this, I wore my trusty Topshop Joni jeans which I live in and this bargain pair of pointed studded courts from F&F at Tesco.

What do you think of my OOTD?

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend and thanks for reading!

THE FEDORA HAT

What I'm Wearing:

Hat & Top -New Look
Ripped Jeans & Boots - Topshop
Watch -DKNY
Rings - Primark
Necklace - Vintage

Now that it's not quite so sunny I've reverted back to autumn winter, pulled my boots out of the back of my wardrobe and purchased this black fedora hat from New Look. I've wanted to buy one for a while but I've had to pluck up the courage to actually wear it. A fedora hat is quite a statement piece but now I've given it a whirl, I feel like I have the confidence to style it with many different outfits.

My floral cape style top is also from New Look, I'm absolutely loving their new A/W collection at the moment. I teamed this pretty floaty top with my Topshop ripped joni jeans and boots for an in-between season weekend look.

What do you think of today's outfit?

REVIEW: URBAN DECAY NAKED FLUSHED PALETTE

It's been a while since I've blogged about beauty, or blogged at all in fact, so my apologies for the complete lack of posts! I've started a new job recently so now I'm all settled in I promise I'll do better from now on so watch this space...

But what better way to get back to blogging than with a must-have palette, the Urban Decay Naked Flushed in Strip.

I've been on the lookout for a bronzer but I managed to get more than I bargained for with this one. This sleek palette not only features a highly-pigmented bronzer in a classic shade but also includes a soft golden highlighter combined with a rich plum coloured blush, all in one convenient compact.

This palette is essentially three products for the price of one and when it's priced at a very reasonable £22, it's a tough one to turn down. I've been using this palette to have a go at contouring, adding the bronzer to the cheekbones and forehead and then dusting over the highlighter and blush for a more defined look.

The colour combination is perfect and a slight sweep of this product goes a long way, especially if you have a pale complexion like I do. It's safe to say this palette won't be leaving my handbag any time soon.

You can buy the Naked Flushed palette in Strip here and there's also three other shades to choose from, making the palette suitable for all skin tones.

Have you tried the Naked Flushed Palette?

Thank you for reading and hope you have enjoyed my review.
