It's been a while since I've added a premium addition to my nail polish collection so this Chanel nail colour in Rouge Moiré seemed to be the perfect shade to give my nails a seasonal shake up for the Autumn.

I had planned to go for a dark and vampy shade such as Chanel's popular Rouge Noir, but I couldn't resist this unique metallic berry shade. Mulling it over at the Chanel counter, I decided that it's probably easier to find a shade similar to Rouge Noir for a slightly cheaper price so I went for the more unusual shade. (If anyone can recommend similar shades to Rouge Noir, let me know in the comment section below!)

The Chanel nail colours are pretty pricey at £18 and at that, you would expect them to be completely chip free and long-lasting, but I would say the longevity of them is pretty similar to that of less-expensive brands (not naming any names).  However, if you use a good-quality top coat, apply two coats of colour and finish with a top coat the colour should stay put for at least 3 days.

When I go for a Chanel nail polish, I know that I'm paying for the beautiful high-shine colour and chic packaging and this is exactly what I love about them. With that in mind, I can deal with a slight chip in a few days!

What do you think about Chanel nail colours?

Fitness is not a topic that I usually blog about, but since I recently joined a gym I thought I would introduce my New Balance trainers, a purchase that has transformed my whole gym experience.

With the cold, wintery nights setting in, who wants to go and work out when a night of catching up on Downton is much more appealing? As tempting as a night in sounds, I've found that purchasing new gym clothing or footwear that feels stylish and comfortable can really work wonders. With my pink neon laces, I feel much more inclined to wrap up, bear the cold and head to the gym - even if I do occasionally take a detour to buy a chocolate bar on the way home!

My grey and pink running trainers are named New Balance 1850 and they have been a complete dream to wear. They are super comfortable, the style is fun and I love the strong colour clash. I did try on numerous pairs by other sports brands but no other style compared in terms of comfort and wearability.

I've decided that my trainers are for the gym only and I won't be wearing them to exercise outdoors, I've saved my old pair for that. However, I have been getting some good mileage out of them in the gym by attending spinning classes, (trying to pick up) weights and other cardio activities such as rowing or running on a treadmill.

So, if you're feeling tired of exercise and in need of some new motivation, treat yourself to some new gym attire as I'm convinced that wearing the right clothing has helped me to feel more confident, encouraging me to head to the gym when what I really want is a hot chocolate sat on the sofa!

These trainers have been the best £50 I've spent in a long time...

What do you enjoy wearing to keep fit?

As I mentioned in my last blog post, I'm moving house in just 2 weeks time and I simply can't take all my beauty products with me!

I have an unhealthy amount of lipsticks, nail polishes and every product you can think of, so I thought I would give all my lovely readers the chance to snap up some bargain beauty products! The culling was pretty difficult as it's easy to get attached to certain products but I simply only have one face and one body and don't have the time to use everything!

Some products have been used only slightly, some are brand new, and the condition and price of each item will be stated by the image.

If you would like to purchase a product, state the name of it in the comment section below along with your email address and I will invoice you via Paypal :)

All products will be well packaged, hygienically cleaned if they are slightly used products and postage costs will be stated next to each product. Please note: shipping to UK  destinations only.

It's been a while since my last blog post. I've been super busy lately as work has been crazy and I'm also moving house so I'm spending my time cramming shoes and beauty products into boxes! Moving house is good though as it makes you sort through stuff and I thought it would be a good idea to have a beauty blog sale so look out for that!

Anyway...I've been meaning to post about my essential beauty tools for AGES! I seem to have an unhealthy addiction to buying makeup brushes, especially the Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman ones, so here are my favourites that rarely ever leave my makeup bag:

To apply my foundation I use the Real Techniques foundation brush and then the EcoTools foam blending brush which has a spongy texture.  The only problem I find with foundation brushes, is that they often leave brush strokes on the skin so the EcoTools brush is perfect for blending foundation in so you are left with a smooth and even complexion.

The brush was around £5 from Boots and has been really useful as I also use it around the jaw line to ensure that there's no lines or missed areas, giving my foundation the perfect finish.

Next up is the popular Real Techniques Stippling brush and the Real Techniques Blush brush. I use the blush brush first to apply my bronzer on my cheekbones, forehead and nose and then I use the stippling brush to define my cheekbones. The stippling brush has short and stiff bristles which really helps to define areas of the face, but be careful not to apply too much product as you can end up with stripes as I did first time!

Both of these brushes are great and I wash them once a week and they still keep beautiful and soft!

For my eye makeup I have a pretty simple routine. I use these very jazzy Limited edition Revlon eyelash curlers which help to ensure that my lashes are all in line. They also give the eyelashes lift and volume but if you're not used to them they can feel a little strange to use at first. Many brands stock eyelash curlers and I'm sure they all do the same thing, although the Shu Uemura ones are supposed to be extra special!

When applying any eyeshadow I use the EcoTools eye brush as the bristles are firm and apply the colour really well. To blend, I use the cute Revlon Contour shadow brush which ensures the eyeshadow is distributed evenly. It's also really handy for the handbag as it's so small!

Hope you have enjoyed my makeup tools blog post? Comment below with any must have beauty tools that you use, as I would love to add to my collection!

Thanks to everyone who reads my blog too...I've recently discovered that my page views have passed the 30,000 mark, and although that won't seem huge compared to other blog followings, I am super happy so thanks for reading!
