So, this weekend is payday weekend and I've had my beady eyes on a few items that I'm dying to purchase! Here they are...

Topshop Burnout Floral Midi Skirt- Here

How pretty is this skirt? Loving the sheer floral fabric and really want to team it with a crop top and heels. Love.

Zara Jewelled Flowers Necklace-here

I've been seeing lots of thick, heavy chains on the high-street at the moment but I love the fact that this one has the addition of pretty flowers, giving the necklace a feminine effect.

River Island Black Side Zip Western Ankle Boots- here

As my Topshop Ambush boots are starting to show significant wear and tear (I'm sure almost everyone has these very same boots!) I've been looking for a similar pair as they are such a versatile style. This River Island pair are just the ticket and are a steal at £38!

Urban Outfitters Cheap Monday Check trousers-here

This A/W I really want to invest in some tartan for a change and these checked trousers will be perfect for teaming with slouchy jumpers and cardigans. It feels weird to be mentioning knitwear after such a good summer!

Topshop Round Velvet Cross Body Bag- here

This neat and compact black and gold bag is last on my wishlist because it is simply gorgeous.

What are you planning to purchase this payday?

What I'm wearing:

T-shirt: Primark
Statement necklace: Topshop
Blazer:  Zara
Jeans: Topshop
Backpack: Primark
Heels: Zara

This outfit post is all about the backpack. I've wanted to invest in one for a while and finally decided to cave! The last time I wore a backpack I was in reception class at junior school so I'm glad that this one is a little more grown up. I love the fact these bags have no structure as they are really roomy and have pockets for all my essentials (yes, it's all about practicality these days).

I've also teamed the backpack with some staple items including Topshop skinny jeans, a simple grey tee and black sleeveless blazer which is a recent Zara sale purchase.

I wish I could commit to wearing these neutral Zara shoes more often but they require perfectly pedicured and painted feet, not to mention sunny skies!

What do you think of my new backpack?

Just a quick review to let all you beauty obsessives know that Soap & Glory's The Scrub of your Life is amazing!

I would say the product is a cross between a shower gel and body scrub. It's smooth on the skin, smells fruity without being too overpowering and it's really gentle if you have sensitive skin. I don't like body scrubs that are too harsh and this one has been perfect as it glides onto the skin and isn't too gritty (if you know what I mean!).

I've been using this on a regular basis, especially prior to tanning and it's a definite must buy if you're looking for smooth and refreshed skin.

You can buy The Scrub of your Life here.

What Soap & Glory products have you tried?

Last week I decided to have a break from nail polish and try some Model's Own Wah inspired instant nail art

From past nail art attempts, I know that patience is required so I would recommend having at least a free hour if you want them to look neat and tidy. But I would definitely say the finished results are worth the wait!

Nail wraps always look tricky to apply, when in fact they are quite the opposite!

All you need to do is follow these simple steps:

- Make sure the nail base is clean and file the nails to your desired shape

- Once you are happy with the length and shape, start measuring each sticker up to your nails so you know which ones are going to be used on each finger. There's 20 individual nail stickers of various sizes to choose from, but they can be cut down to size if necessary.

-Place the nail sticker at the base of the nail and push it down firmly, making sure there's no bubbles under the surface

- If the nail sticker is too large for the nail, trim it down with nail scissors and remove any excess with the nail file provided

- To secure the nail wraps, I applied a layer of topcoat but depending on how well they stick down you might not have to include this step.

What I'm Wearing:

Dress - Next
Shoes - Florence & Fred at Tesco
Necklace - New Look
Belt - Primark

Here's another work wear outfit post I've been meaning to blog about as it's probably the most reasonably priced outfit I own! The red dress is a recent Next sale purchase and I've been wearing it lots with and without tights, depending on the weather.

It's nice to wear a simple, brightly coloured dress for work that you can accessorise differently each time you wear it, so I was happy that my New Look necklace seemed to match perfectly and jazz it up a little.

Recently, I've been making a conscious effort to not just impulse buy and to think about everything I purchase sensibly. Boring, I know.. But I soon decided that this dress would team up nicely with tights and ankle boots during the Winter so the dress was soon snapped up and taken to the till!

Do you ever wear simple tailored dresses for work?

Mascara is the one product in the whole of my makeup stash that I would really struggle to live without. This new Lash Potion mascara from Revlon is my new favourite for achieving ultra long lashes as it has a huge round brush that coats the lashes really well.

It did take me a while to get used to the brush at first as it's about the size of a bumble bee so it's quite hard to manage until you get the hang of it! The only disadvantage of such a large brush is that it's harder to reach the smaller bottom lashes without leaving traces of black under the eye, but I did master the technique in the end.

My lashes tend to be quite straight and non-existent without mascara but using this particular wand has helped to give my lashes more definition and an added volume boost which is exactly what my lashes need.

I think everyone is different when it comes to trialling and testing mascaras and I seem to use different ones depending on what kind of makeup look I'm trying to create. I also use the amazing Benefit 'They're Real' and also the Rimmel Volume Flash if I'm looking for a cheaper option.

Here's a before and after of the mascara in action:

The Revlon Lash Potion mascara can be purchased at both Superdrug and Boots for £9.99.

Have you tried the new Revlon Lash Potion mascara yet?

If you're a fragrance enthusiast it's likely that you will want to plan a trip to the Trafford Centre in Manchester this Saturday 10th August for the opening of the re-designed Indulge Fragrance store.

Here's a sneak preview of the new store:

The new store has been designed with a luxury and sensory experience in mind and is set to revolutionise the way we shop for fragrance.

Purchasing fragrance is a very special and personal experience as certain notes within fragrances can often bring back nostalgic memories or can remind you of someone in an instant. Why not take your time choosing your signature scent or a gift for someone and wander around this beautiful store and ask the expert advisor's for their tips and advice?

If you visit this particular store, you will find a wealth of designer fragrances including Chanel, Dior, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Viktor and Rolf, and Hermes as well as some prestigious brands that are in more limited distribution such as Terry de Gunzberg and Loewe.

The store is how I imagine a walk in wardrobe of fragrances, where there will be samples on hand and advisor's to help you find the right scent for every mood, season and occasion.

Even better, the first 100 people to enter the store on Saturday will receive goody bags which include a free bottle of perfume! All customers will also receive a complimentary 10% off all products across the store as well as a free gift with every purchase.

You can follow Indulge Fragrances for the latest updates and competitions on both

Hope you enjoy the event and I'll see you there!

Kimono's are one of my all time favourite throw-on garments. Somehow I've collected around five or six of them and I think that's mainly because I'm a big fan of prints, but also because they are so easy to wear!

But if you're not used to the kimono style they might seem a little perplexing, especially as they are so loose and billowy. But if you persevere, you will find that they can be worn in a multitude of different ways. They can be a nice alternative to a jacket and a great way to cover up when wearing a bikini on the beach.

Here are some of the ways I style a kimono:

- Team with a cami, skinny jeans and heels for the evening

-Throw over denim shorts and wear with a loose tee underneath on a summers day

- In the winter, use it as a layering piece over a fine knit and team with boots

- For holidays, wear open with a bikini top on the beach or to cover your shoulders when it get's cool in the evenings

- I quite often wrap mine across my waist and layer a waist belt over the top like I'm wearing a blouse

In my quest to find more kimono's, I came across these beautiful variations:

(Enter Sarahs Style Statement at the checkout for 20% off!)

I absolutely love the bold, blue print and I think this style would stand alone as a statement addition to any outfit.

The bird print on this kimono is delicate and beautiful and I think it would be perfect throw-on item for any evening occasion. Team with skinny jeans or tailored trousers to achieve an effortless night time look.

This neon striped number is sure to catch attention, even when it's paired with a simple tee and denim cut-off's.

I particularly love the fringed detail on this long-line kimono and I also think it would be a great winter option for layering over fine knitwear.

Why wear a boring jacket when you can wear this pretty floral kimono instead? Team with almost anything for a laid back vintage feel.

Prefer to sling on a top as opposed to a kimono style jacket? Simply pair this top with jeans and ankle boots and away you go!

Are you loving the kimono trend as much as I am?

What I'm wearing:

Top & bag - Zara
Jeans & Necklace - Topshop
Shoes - Primark

Now I'm a full-time working girl, it feels good to dress more casually at weekends. I've really missed wearing my skinny jeans so today I popped on this new pair to go and meet a friend in Manchester for lunch and of course, shopping!

My bright orange Zara bag, which I have in black too, is an absolute saviour and fits all my essentials in perfectly. I've used both of them so much the handles are showing quite substantial wear and tear so I'm already feeling like I may need to stock up on more of them! I can't bear it when an item I heavily rely on becomes discontinued so I'm not taking any chances this time!

I'm also loving my black suede effect flatforms from Primark. I must admit, they aren't the comfiest shoes in the world and I've stumbled in them a fair few times (they make me feel like I'm walking on the moon) but they are a versatile shoe that are dressy yet casual.

What do you enjoy wearing as casual weekend wear?

Adding to my never ending nail polish collection is certainly a habit of mine and my latest colourful additions include these two delicious Barry M Gelly nail paints in Papaya (top) and Grapefruit.

Barry M nail paints are probably the most addictive of the lot as the colours available change so often and there's always at least five that catch my eye!

This time I went for the super shiny Gelly paints as they are highly pigmented and bright which I love! They are also chip resistant for a few days at least which is pretty impressive, considering they are so reasonably priced.

In the above photos I used a top and base coat for extra longevity but I would say the shades can still be applied without if you're short on time.

Personally, the peachy Papaya shade is my favourite one yet but I'm sure I'll easily be persuaded by the next few shades that are introduced!

Have you tried the Barry M nail paints?

Would love to hear your recommendations in the comment section below!
