If you have stumbled upon my blog recently you may have noticed that I have a brand new illustrated banner all thanks to Becky-you can take a look at her amazing portfolio of work here

I've wanted to change the look of my blog for a while now and I knew I wanted to incorporate some illustrations of my designer favourites but I just didn't know how. Unfortunately, my technical skills and art ability don't stretch that far so I decided to call on Becky as a professional in the field!

After coming up with a basic brief, Becky set to work and in just a few days my banner looked perfect and I also have a Facebook, Twitter and email signature to match.

I know I'm going to sound biased but the banner has added a signature style and character to my blog that it didn't have before and I'm so impressed that the work was completed in just a matter of days!

As a fashion and beauty illustrator, Becky proved to be extremely easy to work with and I will definitely be calling on her again when my blog is in need of a fresh update, although I'm so in love with my new banner I don't think it will be for a while!

If you need more information, you can follow Becky on Twitter and Facebook.

Let me know what you think of my blog's new look?

If you ignore my super squinty face (it was a very sunny day) you will notice my lovely new shirt from Mary & Milly!

I started a new job only last week and finding suitable work attire has to be the hardest shopping task EVER. The dress code at my work is smart but not overly corporate so I thought this shirt would be perfect. Work clothing always looks boring to me as there's too many plain options and dressing for work shouldn't have to be boring in my opinion.

This blouse has a silky front with a chiffon back and I loved the printed front. I decided to team it with a versatile navy H&M skirt and tan strappy wedges. I'm also thinking the blouse will work well with jeans for after office hours!

When I'm looking to update my wardrobe I always find unique pieces at Mary & Milly so if you want to take a look for yourself you can follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

What do you find easiest to wear for work?

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya
The Revlon ColorBurst lip butter in Juicy Papaya needs to be shown some lipstick love and attention as it really is the perfect summer shade.

Revlon have cleverly come up with a lipstick that gives a pop of colour with a pretty, sheer finish. What I love about these lip products is that they are low-maintenance, there's no need for a mirror and they don't need to be applied all the time!

Juicy Papaya is a soft coral shade and I wouldn't go anywhere without this compact little lipstick in my handbag.

You can pick up a Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in one of the many different shades here.

More tomorrow!

I've wanted to review this little pot of MAC goodness for a while now but just haven't got round to it! This was quite a spontaneous beauty buy for me but it's turned out to be a firm favourite in my makeup bag!

When you open the pot it appears to be bright white in colour and have a thick and creamy texture but when you swirl your finger round the pot the formula becomes more sheer and glowing.

As the name suggests, I think this 'base' can be used almost anywhere on the face, but I've been using mine as a highlighter to enhance my eyes, using it underneath the brow bone and sometimes in the corner of my eyes where they appear darker.

I've also been using this on my cheekbones for a dewy summer glow so I find this little pot to be well worth the money if you are looking for something that's multi-purpose and can be used on bare skin or layered over foundation.

Here I've swatched the product on the side of my hand:

The only downside to the product is that if you use too much you can look slightly casper-esque so it's best to apply it delicately and then build it up depending on your desired look.

Apart from that I love the compact size of this product and I do feel like it's going to last ages which is always something I look for in a product.

You can buy the MAC Cream Colour base in Luna here.

Have you tried the MAC Cream colour base yet?

Printed Tea Dress Topshop
Initial necklace- Topshop
Sandals- Topshop
Sunglasses- H&M
Ring- Miss Selfridge
Watch- Vintage

So, last weekend I had the perfect summer's day! The weather was beautiful and I went to Hampstead Heath, a huge park in London and had a picnic in the park with friends.

We ended up buying way too much food, but we thoroughly enjoyed a day of lounging around in the grass and eating our bodyweight in cheese and bread.

With the weather being so nice, I decided to pop on my new Topshop Tea Dress with some simple sandals and gold jewellery. It's ages since I've bought a pretty dress and as I've just got a new job I decided to treat myself. I'm in love with the cut-out back, wild print and cute frill sleeves and felt like this little number would be perfect for the day or evening!

What do you think of my latest buy?

Products: Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation in 12 Beige Rose / Revlon Colorstay Concealer in Fair / Benefit Longwear Powder Eye shadows in Nude Swings and Call my Buff / Nars Brow Pencil in Jodhpur / Bare Minerals Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener / Real Techniques Blush Brush / Eco Tools Foam Foundation Brush

As I trial and test beauty products on a regular basis it can become tricky to single out my favourites and decide on a set of products that will make the cut and be used on my face daily.

Although I do alter and change my makeup look every so often, it's usually the above products that make their way into my 'essential' makeup bag. These are the products that I would really struggle to live without so I felt it was only right to give them some blogging glory as my daily face must-haves.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere in 12 Beige Rose

This is definitely my holy grail foundation. It is a little bit on the expensive side at £36 a bottle but it's really long-lasting and the colour is a perfect match for my pale skin tone. I have started to mix it with various BB creams during the summer for lighter coverage which has helped this bottle to last!

Revlon Colorstay Concealer in 01 Fair

I've been testing lots of concealers recently but it's the Revlon Colorstay concealer in fair that seems to be the most seamless on my skin at the moment. I used to apply my concealer prior to foundation but recently I've been using it afterwards for more even coverage.

Nars Bronzer in Irresistiblement

I've heard lots of good things about the cult product that is the Nars bronzer in Laguna but I decided to try out Irresistiblement. The colour pay off with these bronzers is amazing and this shade is a classic, deep summer bronzer.

Bare Minerals Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener

Perfect for under the eyes, I've been using this face and eye brightener to cover up my tired eyes and any imperfections.

Benefit Longwear Powder Eyeshadow in Call My Buff and Nude Swings

These neutral eyeshadows are very natural when paired together and are a great combo if you're wanting eyes that look fresh and subtle. Alternatively, I also use these as a base for a heavier smoky eye.

Nars Eyebrow Pencil in Jodhpur

I haven't been using this everyday as I've had my brows tinted recently but usually this Nars Pencil in Jodhpur it's the perfect brown shade that doesn't make brows look too dark and defined.

Bobbi Brown Lipstick in 7 Orange

I never go anywhere without this Bobbi Brown lipstick in 7 Orange. It keeps me looking alive when really I'm tired so it's my ultimate pick-me-up shade.

Real Techniques Blush Brush

Absolutely love the Real Techniques Brushes by Sarah Chapman. This blush brush has lasted ages without malting, despite my daily usage. I also wash it regularly and it always dries super soft.

Eco Tools Foam Foundation Applicator

This is quite a recent purchase and I've really enjoyed using it to blend my foundation. Firstly I use a normal foundation brush to apply my foundation and I then use this foam applicator brush to blend in.
