OOTD: Denim Shorts and Crazy Boots

What I'm Wearing:

Boots: Zara
 Shorts: H&M
 Grey Tee: Primark
 Necklace: Topshop
Watch:Vintage

The weather is so miserable in London today so I decided I was going to wear some crazy boots to make myself feel better. It's supposed to be summer yes, but I've decided I'm cracking out the tights, faithful denims and winter boots as I don't dare to bare my legs or wear sandals as I simply don't trust the weather one bit. Sunny one minute and a huge rainy down pour the next!

I purchased these boots in the Zara sale for £30 so they were an absolute steal! They've been sitting in my wardrobe with the tag on for a pretty long time now, so I've decided enough is enough, I'm wearing them and will have to accept the fact that I will probably fall into a puddle in them at the moment!

What do you think? What's your perfect rainy day outfit?

June Beauty Favourites

It's ages since I've done a beauty overhaul on my blog so here's a mix of summery new beauty buys and essentials that I've been counting on daily!

Sleek Brow Palette in Light-buy

After searching for the perfect brow kit I stumbled upon this bargain Sleek palette in light which is amazing and great for squeezing in my handbag! The compact has a mirror, miniature pair of tweezers and two small brushes to apply both the eyebrow powder and wax. I'd say I use the powder inside the palette more but the wax is good for taming the brows as it gives shape and smoothes down any stray hairs. I would really recommend the light palette if you have pale skin and don't want your brows to look too dark.

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya-buy

The Revlon ColorBurst lip butter in Juicy Papaya has been a complete summer saviour as it's a cross between a lipstick and balm, so you don't need a mirror to apply it. I'd call it a juicy stick of coral perfection.

Benefit Longwear Powder Eyeshadow in Nude Swings and Call My Buff-buy

In my makeup bag there will always be a selection of neutral eyeshadows that I use to build up with brown shades to create a smoky eye. The Benefit longwear eyeshadows are really long-lasting and I've been using both Nude Swings and Call My Buff together daily.

Revlon Nail Enamel in One Perfect Coral-buy

Can you tell I'm a fan of coral colours? This nail enamel is, as the name suggests, the perfect coral and these classic Revlon nail enamels come in super large bottles that last forever. Love.

Nars Eyeshadow in Ashes to Ashes-buy

This was my first Nars eyeshadow purchase and so far I've been loving this shade. It's a smoky, dark metallic shade that looks amazing with really full lashes and eyeliner.

Revlon Lash Potion Grow Luscious Mascara*

The new Revlon Lash Potion mascara is great for full-impact lash lovers like me as it has a large, round brush that really helps to lengthen the lashes, whilst creating lots of volume. I'm not entirely sure when this mascara is out yet but I will check for those who are interested! I'll pop up a full review on this mascara soon!

Nars Semi-matte Lipstick in Heat Wave-buy

Another Nars treat! This lipstick is a gorgeous red/coral shade and I really like the fact it's semi-matte! It feathers and smudges a lot less than a high-shine lipstick so I thoroughly enjoyed wearing it on a night out as I didn't have to constantly re-apply.

Primark False Eyelashes

I've been meaning to let you in on this little secret for ages but I buy my false eyelashes from Primark (£1) and they are amazing! Primark have started to sell different types of lashes but this pair is simply a style that I think suits me! Considering most false eyelashes are £5-£6 each for one set, you can stock up on 5 pairs for the same price. Such a beauty bargain!

NAILS: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Get Juiced

It really does feel weird blogging about nails when it's not #Manicure Monday as it's become a regular thing on my blog over the past few weeks, however, I simply could not wait to rave about this particular shade!

I've tried the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail enamels before and have been completely impressed so this time I went for the very summery watermelon pink in 546 'Get Juiced'.

The colour appears to be a more pastel pink when looking at the bottle but when applied it's a warm, popping candy pink with amazing shine. I really love the thick brushes that these nail enamels have as it takes one coat and you are completely done! Plus, the formula of these ones has a built in strengthener, base coat, growth treatment, colour and top coat so essential you're getting five nail products in one!

The bottle is also a really good size for £6.99 and with the colours being so chip-resistant they really are a great value beauty buy.

There's lots of shades to choose from and you can buy them from Boots.com here.

Have you tried any of the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Shades?

Manicure Monday: Revlon Nail Enamel in White on White

Thought I'd start the week with a manicure monday post as I've been holding off on the Shellac gel manicures and experimenting with all the amazing summer nail colours out at the moment.

Usually, I would go for darker shades or a classic red or coral for the summer but I am loving the Revlon nail enamel in White on White. I have to say, white is the most awkward shade to paint as every mistake shows up so only have a go if you can keep your hand steady! I used the Rimmel 5 in 1 base and top coat and then applied two coats of white but still had to clean around the cuticles with a fine brush dipped in nail polish remover which did help to neaten them up.

They do say that practise makes perfect so maybe I'll persevere with this white shade. I'm thinking it would work really well for nail art designs but that's another challenge for another day!

What products have you tried for the perfect white manicure?

REVIEW: Shu Uemura Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil

If you are looking for a high-quality and effective cleansing oil to remove all daily impurities  the Shu Uemura Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil is the perfect investment. The reason I say investment is because the product is priced at £72 for a 45oml bottle, although you can buy the smaller 150ml bottle for £36 which is more reasonable.

I was lucky enough to receive this large bottle as a gift so I guess that's easy for me to say, but, I'm beginning to feel like I would save in order to splurge on this product once this bottle runs dry. Just 1-2 pumps of this oil will remove all face makeup so I would say this bottle would be really long-lasting.

Initially, I was worried about the oil making my normal to dry skin feel quite greasy but I have found the product to be an effective cleanser that leaves the skin feeling soft without a trace of the formula.

Usually I am more inclined to use a creamy cleanser but recently I have been reaching for this cleansing oil as a more luxurious way to take off my makeup before bed. As the formula  contains 8 botanical oils including shea butter, jojoba and olive oil, it literally melts away with just a sweep of the oil on a cotton pad. Once you wash your face afterwards you will find that the oil emulsifies leaving skin feeling clean and super fresh.

This oil also removes mascara, eyeshadow and eye liner without making my (very) sensitive eyes water and sting which is a huge selling point for me!Plus, removing eye makeup has to be the bane of everyone's life-right?

I find this product to be most effective when used 2-3 times a week, especially when my skin is in need of a super thorough cleanse at the end of the week. There's something about this oil that seems to make my nightly cleansing routine seem much more relaxing and I definitely think that it's a luxury product worth it's price tag.

Have you tried the Shu Uemura Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil or anything else from their range? Would you pay the £72 for a cleansing oil?

Let me know your thoughts!

REVIEW: Revlon Neon Nail Art Pen in Hot Flash

I'm a little bit in love with neon nails at the moment. There's nothing quite as cheery as a bold bright nail during the summer months and these Revlon neon nail art pens definitely deliver amazing colour and shine.

The dual-ended design makes them super versatile as the pens have a bright white shade that you apply as a base coat to make the colour pop and then a neon colour that you apply over the top.

I decided to go for Hot Flash which is a vibrant coral orange but my advice would be to only apply one coat of the white polish before adding two coats of the orange shade, as the white glow started to show through with just one coat of colour.

There's 6 different shades to choose from so be warned, when you've tried one you may want them all!

Each nail art pen is £7.99 each but they are currently on offer at Boots.com for £5.99 here!

Sorry today's post has been a short one!

What's your favourite neon nail polish?
