Mary & Milly Autumn Winter: New Arrivals

The fabulous fashion and accessories brand Mary & Milly has gone and done it again with yet another bunch of striking and unique new arrivals that are sure to add some 'wow' to your winter wardrobe.

From the easy to wear stylish knitwear pieces to the glamourous blouses for going out in the evening, there is a must-have item (or three!) here for everyone..
1.

Khaki Stud Cross Blouse-£18.95
2.

Black Stud Cross Blouse- £18.95 / Red large clutch bag- £19.95 (also available in black)
3.

Aztec Printed Skinny Jeans-£19.95
4.
Knitted jumper-£18.95 (available in two colour ways)
5.

Light grey midi dress-£13.95 (available in light and dark grey) / Peacock scarf-£8.95

6.
Bronze pug necklace-£8.95
7.
Red Stud Cross Blouse- as before

I've picked out a few of my favourite pieces and here's why:

1. This fabulous khaki stud cross blouse (also available in black and red-images 2 & 7) is the perfect staple blouse as it is versatile and also tap's into the gothic glamour trend which is hot on the lip's of every fashionista this season. It's statement cross detail will hit off any outfit and you can wear this piece to add an edge to everyday wear, or glam' up your evening attire!

2. Another favourite of mine is this supersized red clutch bag (available in black too) which is sure to fit in all the handbag essentials a girl could ever need! Great if you don't fancy hauling a huge bag around on your shoulder and an incredibly chic option if you need a bag that will go from day to night in an instant.

3. Now for some super statement jeans. These aztec printed beauties are an ideal autumn winter item that will jazz up any casual tees, cardigans and jumpers and will add a fun and exciting edge to more subtle winter shades such as grey or black.

4. No winter wardrobe is complete without some comfy and stylish knitwear and this slouchy striped number fits the bill perfectly. It's multi coloured tone will add a vibrant colour pop to your skinny jeans and this jumper would look great as a layering piece (as seen in the image with a pleated midi skirt).

5. Although knitwear is an essential part of the winter dress code, it's wise to have some longer t-shirt dresses as layering pieces that you can build on. This grey midi dress (available in light and dark grey) can be accessorised beautifully with a delicate and pretty scarf.

6. All there is to say about this necklace is how CUTE? This bronze pug pendant necklace will add instant interest to any outfit and for anyone out there that's not allowed a real pug, this necklace is a super cool alternative!

7. Finally, how stunning does Poppy look in all these images from the latest Mary & Milly shoot?! As the owner of Mary & Milly she has not only chosen such fabulous items but has also modelled and styled them in such a vibrant and unique way!

Outfit of the day: Topshop and Zara

Here's a quick outfit post to show you what I was wearing the other day..

The weather has been so awful I've decided that my new Zara coat must come out of the wardrobe and it's never been off my back since!

I originally wanted a leather jacket for this winter so I went for this Black mannish Zara coat with leather look lapels, which seemed to be a good compromise as it's wool, much warmer than a leather jacket! (Available in Store £129.00). As the coat is very structured, I think it is smart enough for formal occasions and will also add an edge to any outfit in the evening.

I'm also loving my new cheetah shirt from Topshop (available in store) which has a striking blue stripe down the front and blue cuffs to match! I find statement shirts to be a very useful layering piece and I am planning to wear this shirt with my black disco pants, a pencil skirt or with denim cut offs and tights. As I wore this outfit to work, I thought I better tone it down and stick with my faithful black skinny Kirsten jeans from Topshop.

My studded Topshop flats have been a wardrobe must have for me so far as I seem to have slipped them on with almost anything! I'm a big lover of studs so they add just the right amount of glam' to any outfit! Love them so much I'm on my second pair already! Snap them up in Topshop now-similar styles available with gold studs too!!

As the shirt is so super stand out I've kept the jewellery and accessories quite minimal, but I definitely think the shirt would look fab with a collar chain so I definitely need to invest in one of those!

Hope you like today's outfit!

Let me know what you're planning on wearing in this awful British weather?

Must have Nail Products: Barry M and Bourjois

Just a quick post to show you my latest nail treats!

Nails appear to be having a moment in the beauty world and I can't seem to stop changing my nail polish on pretty much a daily basis as there's too many fabulous colours to choose from.

I cannot wait to try these two very sparkly Barry M nail polishes that were just £2.99 each from Boots-although if you're quick you can snap two up with £1 off! (Left shade in Aqua glitter 340, right shade in Black Multi glitter 333)

But for the grande finale, I finally purchased the Bourjois Dissolvant Miraculeux! After reading many online reviews I spent £4.99 (Boots) on this nail polish remover and it is a definite must have.

Forget using numerous cotton wool pads to take your nail polish off and simply pop each finger in this little pot, twist it round, and VOILA, your nail polish is removed in seconds! It really is such an amazing product and even managed to remove my deep red nail polish without leaving a trace of the colour! Not only does it remove the colour rapidly, it also leaves your nails smelling sweet!

Now my nails are ready for some sparkle!
Have you tried the Bourjois nail polish remover?

Savvy Storage for Beauty Products

Muji Perspex Storage Boxes (3 Stacked one on top of the other)

The top storage tray is perfect for dividing different shades of nail varnishes and would also be great for lipsticks and hair accessories

Some of the storage trays have sliding drawers that are ideal for separating your base products from eyes and lips!

The three storage cases all stacked up!

If you are a beauty lover and you're collection is anything like mine you need to pay a visit to Muji.

Coming across this wonderful brand has made storing my make up products so much easier and it's helped to optimise my space whilst minimising clutter!

When you are frequently buying new products it's often difficult to see what you have when it's all tucked away. Having my make up essentials stored in these handy clear acrylic boxes has helped me to make the most of my products, as I can now see that I have a variety of products to use each day.

Although the trays look like they are attached, the top tray (with built in dividers) is simply placed on top of the two trays below. The bottom two trays have opening drawers and come attached together.

The great thing about Muji storage is that you can create a storage system that is well suited to your individual needs. For instance, you can also buy boxes for jewellery, sunglasses, earings, dvds and much more.

For storing make up, these boxes are easy to clean and you can also add more trays as your beauty collection grows!

Muji offers many great storage solutions for any home and I think their products are extremely good value for money and I can't wait to get my hands on the jewellery boxes!

You can find the full collection of Muji acrylic storage boxes here.

Review: Clarins Cleansing Products

Very excited to be back blogging again today as I've finally finished my MA in Magazine Journalism, Hooray! I have lots and lots of exciting things to write about as I've been stacking up a list of posts I need to do for nearly the whole year..Anyway, enough of that.

My first beauty products I have been desperate to tell you all about are these two Clarins Cleansers. As far as beauty brands go, I love Clarins. Their products work with my skin, they have a good price range and most importantly their products last which is always a good selling point.

When shopping I'm always easily persuaded into buying beauty products. I think it's the fact the Clarins packaging looks so fresh and clean that I instantly want to give it a go!

I went with the idea of buying a cleanser and came back with two-naughty! But I have to say, both offer different pro's and con's depending on what you look for in a cleanser.

First off, is the Pure Melt Cleansing Gel which you can buy here.

The main reason I bought this cleanser is because it is an oil based product that helps any make up that you have been wearing during the day completely slide off. A true cleansing must!

When massaging the gel on to the face it turns to an oil based solution and once activated with water, it works to gently remove every last bit of your make up.

The gel also includes Marula oil which helps to keep the skin silky soft and radiant. The one thing I would say about this cleanser is that you only need the smallest amount on the palm of your hand. If you have an oily t-zone area like I often do, it's wise to use as little as possible.

This product also helps to remove the last traces of mascara which is also great for when your eye make up remover doesn't do the trick. So far I have used this every evening and I am very happy with the squeaky clean results!

(The gel swatched)
The second Clarins cleanser I got my beauty mitts on is the One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser which you can buy here.

Out of the two cleansing products this one has to be my favourite. However, this cleanser serves a slightly different purpose to the first and acts as a more intensive exfoliating treatment.

The exfoliator swatched- don't know how it went heart shaped!
Using zesty orange extracts, this exfoliator is still a gentle cleanser but cleanses the skin much more efficiently than the gel.

The ingredients within the product work perfectly together as the orange extract softens and revitalises the skin, whereas the Moringa Seed extract purifies and refines the skin whilst tackling any clogged pores. I find that you don't need to use this product every night and day but it's so refreshing I find it hard not to use it when I wake up in the morning!

Both of these lovely products are around the same price(see above links) and after trying and testing them I am certain that they are superb value for money.

What Clarins products have you tried?

P.s Clarins are usually good at giving you sample products to try for next time(especially when it's bonus time at Debenhams!).So after experimenting with mine, next on my wishlist is the Beauty Flash Balm and the Daily Energising Moisturiser for younger skin!
