Beauty Review: Origins VitaZing Moisturiser

I've been using the Origins VitaZing Energy-boosting moisturiser for a couple of months now and I have completely fallen in love with it.

In the past I've been quite lazy when it comes to skincare, but with age I've started to take more care of my skin and make sure that I'm using products that are suitable for my skin on a daily basis.

At 22 years of age, I'm not quite ready for the anti-wrinkle phase yet but I have realised that it's important to keep skin cleansed, polished and moisturised at all times.

This sheer tinted moisturiser is a great product to use every morning after washing and cleansing the face and will ensure that your skin looks healthy throughout the day.

The 'zing' part of the name is also perfect as the delicious zesty smell of the product really does act as a wake up call in the morning!

Not only does this moisturiser hydrate your skin and keep it feeling energised, it also contains the anti-oxidant mangosteen which makes your skin feel completely refreshed.

During the summer it's good to lessen the impact of your foundation to allow your skin to breathe and this product adds just the right amount of coverage you need for a radiant summer glow.

With this product a little goes a long way and I have really enjoyed using a small ammount each day as a base/primer prior to applying my foundation if I'm looking for extra coverage.

At first glance it looks like a speckled white cream but as you rub it into the skin the small specks develop into a sheer, light skin tint with slight hints of foundation.

This product really helps to form a good base for your chosen foundation and evens out the skin tone whilst preventing your make up from sliding off in the sunshine!

The rating for this wonder product has to be a 10/10 for me!

I would love to hear your thoughts if you've tried it or any other Origins products?

This week's high-street overhaul:Topshop, H&M, Primark

I must confess I've been a bit naughty recently and keep having mini sprees here and there! But nearly all of them were absolute bargains, got to justify it to myself so maybe I don't feel so bad!

1. Black suede look studded toe cap flats, H&M, £14.99

I'm always searching for the perfect flat shoes that I can walk around in comfortably every day! I'm a big fan of heels but it makes me happy that these flats have a touch of glam with the studded toe caps. I've been wearing mine with skinny jeans mostly but they also go well with tights!

2.Triangle statement necklace, Topshop, £4.50(sale)

So glad I got my hands on this necklace! Originally it was £16.50 which was a little steep for me, considering I have so much jewellery. But snapping it up for under a fiver didn't seem too rediculous. Will be wearing this tucked under shirt collars or with a baggy tee.

3. Black pointed shoe boots, Topshop, £20 (sale)

Again another sale purchase from the fabulous Toppers! I love rummaging through sales and pick up most of my shoes in the sale. As this pair are a simple black suede, I thought they would be perfect throughout the winter to wear with tights or skinnys for day or night.

4.Pearl spike statement necklace,Primark,£4

As you can see I love a good statement necklace so I was over the moon when I found this Primark number for such a bargain price! They also has earings and a bracelet in a similar style-go go go!

5. Grey beaded cross tee,Primark,£6

This season I've been loving more grundgy styles as an alternative to the pretty, feminine look so this tee has been a perfect pick. It's got drop armholes so you may need a bandeau for underneath and it has silver beaded crosses all over the front. Fab' for wearing with high-waisted denim shorts and they also have this style in white with bronze crosses.

6. Statement earings, Primark, £2.50

I've been wearing my hair in a ponytail quite a lot recently so I thought these earings might add an interesting edge for day or for the evening.

7. Daisy print peplum top, Primark, £6

It seems like I've never been out of Primark reading this overhaul! I don't shop in there that often but seemed to find many little gems, including this daisy print peplum top. Waiting for a hot summers day to wear it though!

8.Black fringed shorts, Rare for Topshop, £7(sale)

Not sure when I'm going to wear these but loved the fringing detail on them. Many styles that I try on are often too short as I'm quite tall so I thought this pair might keep me a little bit more covered!

Hope you have enjoyed this weeks fashion overhaul..

Outfit of the Day: Off Duty Khaki

Topshop Khaki Jamie Jeans / H&M baggy grey tee / H&M gold studded hair tie / Lace Applique jacket-Orchard Road Vintage/Topshop Alibi Black Boots/ Vintage Gold Locket & Bracelets

Thought I'd do a quick outfit post to show you what I was wearing the other day! I usually go for the standard black skinny jeans from Topshop but decided to opt for a new style and colour.
Suprisingly, the khaki have been very versatile and the Jamie style are super stretchy and are still a good fit after a couple of washes, score! I also caved and bought yet another pair of SHOES, the Topshop Alibi boots. Although the heel looks pretty chunky they are comfy enough for the day!
I've also been loving my gold studded hair tie from H&M.Ponytails with a normal bobble used to be boring, but now I love a good slick ponytail! It's a normal bobble with a gold studded clasp that fastens around your hair. The stud detail toughens up any look and they do them in various styles too.
Last but not least..my lace applique detail black jacket. I have a vintage eBay shop called Orchard Road Vintage that you can find here and I will soon be adding two cream and two black versions of this vintage-esque jacket to my eBay shop for just £10 each! I mostly sell authentic vintage items but I couldn't resist buying these lovely cover-ups! Hope you like them..!
Anyway, I'm off to Alton Towers tomorrow with work (how lucky!?) so I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend..
I'll soon be doing an overhaul with plenty of fashion goodies for you to feast your eyes on so keep a look out!

My love for OPI Geleration

So, you may have heard many fellow bloggers harking on about the new gel polish for a while now.I've only tried the Jessica Gel Polish (which is also good) and another rubbish one (that isn't worth a mention!)but I am oh so pleased with my latest gel manicure by OPI.

Now it may just look like a normal glossy nail polish on here, but I assure you it isn't a nail colour that is going to chip every two seconds like many nail polishes out there. I'm not saying that all nail polishes are poor quality, but more often than not I find myself re-painting them again and again!

An OPI geleration manicure will cost you around £20 a pop so it's unlikely that you'll go for gel polish every time, but I would recommend it 100%.

If you excuse the claw hand for one moment, you will see that the colour is a beautiful cross between a coral and a classic pillar box red which I absolutely love. I've tried to find the exact shade and I can only guess that it's nearest to the OPI 'Monsooner or Later' shade.

This kind of gel manicure is supposed to be hard-wearing enough to last up to 3 weeks, but this does depend on the condition of your nails. Here's to hoping that mine lasts the whole duration..I will keep you posted!

Let me know if you have had any similar gel based nail treatments?
