Jewellery Discovery: Imogen Belfield

I love a good piece of statement jewellery so I couldn't contain my excitement after being introduced to Imogen Belfield's collection at a press day a couple of months ago. The colour and look of the metals is completely mesmerising and I imagine any of these designs would instantly make an outfit, tucked under a shirt collar for the day or worn to update a LBD. My favourite piece has to be the ARC 22ct gold plated silver and dyed blue porcelain necklace from The Unshores Collection.

Imogen Belfield's inspiration comes from her surroundings and takes influence from architecture and nature combined to present a collection of textured pendants, rings, earings and bracelets made from the finest gilded bronze, silver, steel and gold.

Each piece is hand crafted and experiments with porcelain, gemstones, metals, dyes and glaze creating casts from paper and plastic. As porcelain is fused into metal to make each piece, they are all beautifully unique.

Beauty: Little Luxuries

I've not done a beauty haul in a long while so I thought it was time to show you some of my favourite little beauty luxuries. Some are high-end and some are reasonably priced so there's a pick-me-up buy to suit all budgets! As you can see the colour palette includes mostly pinks and sorbet shades as I went on a mad spree in Boots, thinking summer must be well and truly on it's way!

Product reviews:

1. Essie Nail Lacquer in No.14 (see below picture)- I was instantly drawn to this soft pink colour which reminds me very much of strawberry milkshake. This is the first Essie product I've ever bought and I have been pleased with the results. With two coats, the colour is long lasting and I'm planning to add coral polka dots with my nail dotting tool.

2. Bobbi Brown Instant Long-wear Makeup Remover (sample)- My mum kindly gave this Bobbi Brown eye makeup remover to me as I'm forever looking for wipes to get my mascara off. The product is clear and feels oil based which really helps eyeshadow, liner and mascara to slide off. I would definitely buy the full size version after giving this miniature a go!

3. Natural Collection Blush in Pink Cloud- Admittedly, I do like high-end makeup but I was pleasantly suprised with the colour of this blusher in boots for £1.99. The colour is lovely for adding a rosy hint to the cheeks and at that price it's too good to miss. I love it when brands make their products low-priced and accessible as it means you can test out new shades, without spending a fortune.

4. No.7 Amazing Eyes Pencil in 10. Brown- I bought this pencil with a No.7 voucher that you get from Boots and it's been a fabulous product. You use the pencil as eyeliner and the soft nib at the other end allows you to smudge it in. Great for those of you that struggle to use liquid eyeliner,me included!

5. L'Occitane Pivoine Delicate fragrance and lipgloss duo- I am in love with this product. It has a lovely, sweet-scented rollerball fragrance at one end and a pearly pink lip gloss at the other. Perfect for popping in your clutch on holiday!

6. Benefit Posie Tint- As much as I like this product I would only invest in it if you are comfortable with having rosy, blushed cheeks as the colour has a strong pigment. However,it does give a gorgeously pretty glow and leaves your cheeks looking rose tinted all day long.

7. Natural Collection eye duo in mink/sable- A neutral eyeshadow duo that acts as a great base shadow for everyday wear.

8. Daisy  Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs (handbag size)-This fragrance is the perfect summer pick-me-up that will keep you smelling sweet on a hot summers day. It still makes me smile when I take it out of my bag!

9. Soap & Glory Arch De Triumph Brow Shaper and Highlighter- This product isn't as expensive as most brow highlighters and I think it's a high contender in the world of brows. It has a brown pencil at one end to shape them and a pale pink pencil
to highlight your arch.

Hope you have enjoyed all the products included in this beauty haul! Would love to hear what you think?

Nail Rock Aztec Nail Wraps

How fabulous are these tribal inspired aztec nail wraps by Nail Rock? I decided to spruce up my nails and I couldn't believe how easy they are to apply. I recently bought the Nails Inc. gold nail wraps and although they look good, you have to apply heat to them, whereas the Nail Rock one's just simply stick on.

Here's how to use them..

Prep your nails by using the Nail Rock nail preparation wipe, file your nails and push back your cuticles. The set includes a mini nail file(shown in the above picture) and mini cuticle remover.

Trim the nail wraps to the width of your nails and stick them on with the rounded side at the cuticle edge. Sticking them on can be tricky as you have to apply them quickly before air gets trapped underneath and they look bumpy. Once each wrap is on, trim off the excess and file them down.

You can buy them in various prints on Topshop.com here, in store and on the Nail Rock site!

Let me know how you find them?

Hair Inspiration: How to achieve Kate Middleton's look

Since becoming the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton’s style has become a huge source of inspiration for the fashion world. She has elegant style, the perfect complexion, but best of all, she has gorgeously glossy, volumised hair.

Whatever the occasion, Kate Middleton can carry off any look from chic chignons, half-up-and-down styles, wavy ponytails and her signature curled blow dry. Renowned for having loosely curled tresses Kate’s hair manages to maintain its shape and volume wherever she goes, whilst keeping its soft and flattering layers which fall by her cheekbones.

During the Jubilee celebrations, Kate was spotted wearing her most favoured hair style of the moment, the demi chignon. This look is half up and half down with the hair swirled in a loosely curled chignon, allowing for a beautiful fascinator to be placed on top. On another occasion, the Duchess plaited her hair so it fit neatly beneath her fascinator.

As leading hair specialists, Hershesons provide many polished blow dry looks and high-quality hair extensions that will make your hair stand out elegantly from the crowd. The classic look, similar to Kate Middleton’s is sleek, well-groomed and looks highly expensive.

Or why not try The Marcel which is inspired by the glamour of silver screen goddesses Rita Heyworth. The Marcel is a look that will leave your hair perfectly waved. With many glamorous styles to choose from you can walk in to a Hershesons blow dry bar and leave looking fabulous in just 30minutes.

If your hair is need of a boost, why not invest in the Hershesons Original Human Hair Piece that is lightweight, easy to clip in and can be styled as you so desire. All Hershesons hair pieces blend naturally into most hair colourings and are available in a variety of shades, helping to give your hair that royal flair.

5 Summer Best Buys

The weather may be letting us down in the UK at the moment (considering it's SUPPOSED to be warm outside in June!?)but at least the high-street has many fabulous summer buys to put a smile on our faces, even when it pours!

Here's 5 of my new favourite buys..
Topshop Floral Metallic Pink Shorts-£30 HERE
Although it wouldn't be appropriate to wear these short shorts from Topshop just yet, I had to have them. The fabric has an amazing foiled gold effect and the print has pretty hints of pink and lilac. Pair these with a pastel pink chiffon blouse, tanned pins and peep toes!
H&M slouchy soft jumper with cut out back-£19.99 (in store)
I've wanted this jumper for ages and I'm so glad I caved in and bought it!It goes perfect with high waisted denim shorts for lazy weekends and will act as a practical layering piece in summer.

Primark Floral Ankle Grazer skinny jeans-£15
Summer dressing wouldn't be the same without some bright skinny jeans. This floral ankle grazer pair from Primark will look lovely with tan wedges for the evening or with ballet pumps in the day time. Buying bold statement jeans can often be a waste if you get bored easily, but at £15 they are too good to let go. Love the gold ankle zips and pastel pink belt too!

H&M Pale Blue blouse with lace applique collar-in cream too-£14.99 (in store)

Spotted this beauty of a blouse in H&M and had to buy the same one in cream too. Wear under jumpers with the collar over and add delicate pendant necklaces.
H&M Neon earings-£5.99 (in store)
No summer wardrobe would be complete without a touch of neon! These crazy statement earings from H&M manage to mix up grunge style spikes with elegant studs-genius! Great for adding a pop of colour to a plain maxi dress.
