Red, Aztec and Ambush

Thought I'd post a picture of a casual outfit I was wearing the other day as they are all items that I am currently loving! Bought my red skinnys from H&M for £14.99 (you can buy them here). Being a tall-y I usually find it difficult to find jeans long enough but these ones are super long, super tight and super stretchy and I adore them. I was thinking they might be an impulse buy but I have been pleasantly suprised to find that they are really versatile.

My top is a recent buy from Topshop, I like the mixed tribal/spotted/aztec print and the slouchy style which means it can be tucked into shorts and worn with many different trouser styles (you can buy it here). I also can't get enough of tops that are longer at the back, it's becoming quite an obsession.

This outfit also includes the well-known Topshop Ambush boots which I have worn to death. Easy colour, comfy enough for a day's wear and a great shape for lengthening the pins. The black ones are out of stock online but you can find the tan brown pair here.

This black Zara blazer is my go-to jacket. It's fairly old but can be worn over almost anything and you can pick one up in most high-street stores!

Hope you enjoy my outfit!

My New Shirt

There's nothing I love more than a new season in fashion. Just when your getting tired of the same old items, out come the new trends and looks that completely refresh your wardrobe. Luckily, I'm staying in London this month so I've been able to have more choice than usual and cherry pick my favourite items.

If I had to give an award for the best collection on the high-street (so far) it would have to go to Zara. I popped in with a friend and we literally wanted to buy everything. From beautiful studded leather jackets, to colour-popping pastel dresses and printed pyjama-style trousers, there are styles to suit all.

Heading to the till with at least five items in hand, I knew I had to try and be sensible and only buy one item that a) I needed and b) think is different to all of my other items.

The item I decided to go for was this amazing Leopard shirt with applique collar which you can buy here for £29.99. I fell in love with the print as it's not your usual leopard print, you'll see what I mean in the below image! And there's always a guarantee that I'll buy anything studded, so the detail on the collar and cuffs completely sold it to me.

The below images are featured on Zara's 'The People' page here. I will soon be doing an outfit post to show you how I've been wearing mine.

I love the two studs on the collar!

Happy spring summer shopping!

Jo Malone

Say hello to Spring and invest in one of these gorgeous new fragrances by Jo Malone. The London Blooms Collection is inspired by the British garden, "where suprising juxtapositions rarely happen by chance" and is the perfect new addition to your spring summer collection. These limited edition beauties would look super chic' on any dressing table and have different floral designs, finished off with a pretty little bow.

There are three colognes in the collection and they all retail at £72 for 100ml.

Iris & Lady Moore

'A mingling between spicy-fresh, common-or-garden geranium and noble iris, powdery and poised.
Brought together on dry-grass base of vetiver'

White Lilac and Rhubarb

'A daring juxtaposition. Tart-vibrant rhubarb cuts through the soft lilac, rose and sun-loving heliotrope'

Peony and Moss

'Contrasting the dainty and the dirty. The gossamer lightness of delicate peonies grounded in earthy green'

All of the Jo Malone Colognes can be found here.

COLOUR POP

After spotting a handful of delightful pastels and decorative prints on the catwalks this season I turned my attention to the high street in search for colour popping brightness. As I tend to wear jeans more than anything else I decided to banish my favourite go-to black and blue pairs for styles that are a little more exciting. The colours on my wish list ranged from vibrant pillar-box red to blush pink and I have to say, I was completely spoilt for choice..So here's what I finished up with..

Primark Nude Skinny Jeans (£11)
I usually go to Topshop for my skinny jeans but I was pleasantly surprised when I tried on this bargain pair from Primark. The fabric is really soft and comfortable and although they are super tight I can sit down in them and get up again! Superb.

H&M Red Skinny jeans-(£14.99)
This striking red pair are fab' for wearing day to night. They have a very flattering high-waist, lots of stretch and will look amazing with killer heels and matching lipstick.

Miss Selfridge Berry coloured skinny jeans (£38)
I bought this colour quite early in the season and although it's a dark berry shade, I like teaming them with brights for instant colour-blocking. If very berry aren't your kind of shade there's others to choose from.

Primark rose pink skinny jeans (£11)
Would you believe it, Primark have done it again! This is exactly the same style as the nude shade, but I just could not resist the sugary pink!

Topshop multi colour animal print leggings (£20), worn with Topshop pink baggy tee tucked in (£10) and the famous Topshop Ambush Boots (£75)
I wouldn't normally be so daring with prints or leggings but the colours instantly caught my eye and I really think they fit well. The material is smooth and is good quality which means they aren't going to go see-through when you bend down (sorry, but that's one of my pet hates!)  The only problem is, I might need my sunglasses on to wear them..

xx Enjoy xx

What brights have you invested in this season?
