New beauty buys

Thought I'd share my three favourite beauty buys of the week as each product has been tried and tested by myself and has produced amazing results. As there is nothing worse than splashing out on expensive products to find out they don't work for you, I think it is important to try before you buy(or at least let someone else do it for you!).

Barry M Nail Polish in 318, Peach Melba -BUY

The latest addition to my Barry M nail polish collection is this peachy pastel beauty. The colour is lovely and vibrant and whenever I look at my nails it feels like summer is well and truly on it's way!

VO5 Miracle Concentrate hair treatment-BUY

After hearing so many good things about VO5's Miracle Concentrate hair treatment I knew I had to try it out for myself. I looked for this product three times and found it was completely sold out, so I was certain it would be an instant hit when I managed to snap one up. This little bottle of goodness is filled with Elixir with argan oil which aims to intensely condition, help repair dry, damaged or frizzy hair, leaving hair smooth and silky with a radiant shine.

I have used this product mainly on the ends of my hair as my roots tend to be more oily and have noticed that my hair is not as dry and feels much softer. The bottle also has a pipette inside so you only need a few small drops, meaning a little definitely goes a long way.

L'Occitane Cherry Blossom hand cream-BUY

This delightful cherry blossom hand cream by L'Occitane is the perfect size to pop in your handbag everyday and smells delicious. 'Enriched with shea butter, this creamy and non-greasy moisturiser nourishes and protects hands leaving them delicately scented.' There are many different creams to choose from, all with their own individual scent.

Enjoy! xox

p.s hope you all like the new look of Sarahs Style Statement, let me know what you think?

It's a print thing

Every new season there's always one trend that I get really excited about and this spring summer 2012 is no exception. After wrapping up in knitwear for what feels like forever I cannot wait to invest in scarf prints which I will be wearing from head to toe.

Dolce & Gabbana showcased this look perfectly, with an explosion of pastel coloured prints and luxurious fabrics which flowed elegantly down the catwalk.Look out for smooth fabrics with a silky sheen for extra glamour.

Some of the models sported luxe matching separates, such as the shorts and jacket combo (worn with a crisp white shirt) whilst others dared to be different and clashed their colours to the extreme. If you don't feel confident enough to take on the entire D&G inspired look, add accents of the print to your outfits by wearing scarf print shorts with a block coloured blouse, or try some baroque print tapered trousers.

This trend is also great fun for those who love to accessorise. Think bold and brash gold collar necklaces, statement gold disc earings and platform wedges with scarf print ties which fasten in pretty bows around the ankle. If you prefer subtle accessories why not try a printed scarf, belt (matching print of course) or boxy clutch bag with a golden wrist strap.
